The Opposite of Opposite Days

I just had to make a post about this...not sure why....

So my little sister hates being wrong, or doing something incorrectly. Like, she really hates it. She will throw tantrums and scream and cry and on occasions, kick and bite (she doesn't bite hard, though). And recently, instead of bursting out into tears and screaming and getting me in trouble for teasing her (even though, um, I was just correcting her...) she's been randomly claiming that "today is opposite day!" whenever she's wrong.

Which got me to think, is it even possible to have an opposite day? Since people usually speak, should they not speak? Or should they say the words backwards? You would have to say the words in a backwards order and reverse the letters in each word. If it's a school day, do you skip school? Or does the order of your periods flip around? How about your clothing? Would you wear it inside out and backwards? You can't put on shoes backwards, though. And would you walk backwards on your hands? How about food? Would you not eat, or *shudders* regurgitate it after eating it?

...and many more problems with an 'opposite day.' I pointed this out to my sister, but she couldn't answer...which in her eyes meant she was wrong...so she started crying again, and then I couldn't write my NaNo novel for the entire afternoon. Sigh. Anyway, short post, but, well, it's a post, right?

I'm Back! (but without writing)

Well, I mean, I have writing, but not writing that I'm going to post. I'm too tired from Camp NaNoWriMo (which, as of now, I'm failing rather miserably).

First, I'm very sorry to everyone in the Boston Marathon bombing (three people dead, over 170 injured) as well as the Texas fertilizer plant bomb (currently 14 dead, death toll still climbing, over 200 injured). I really don't know what else to say but I'm sorry. Which isn't even a very good thing to say, because it isn't as though it's my fault, so apologizing is a bit odd. (unless, I am apologizing for the loss. Or something. I don't know). I think Fira Marine explained this much better than I did.

Um, what else to say? I don't know. I hate standardized testing. IhateitIhateitIhateitIhateit. Mostly the essay part. 25 minutes?! I mean, seriously, who can hand-write a good essay in under half an hour? It's insane. (okay, so I guess everyone who scored high on the SATs can hand-write a good essay in under half an hour, but still).

I want to post more often...but April is basically my busiest month in the whole year. I cannot wait for my summer vacation...even though it doesn't start until June... Oh, and I need to write my contest entry for July. Not to mention start on this ugly mountain of homework and projects that I've been procrastinating for I don't know how long.

Until next time. Which might not be for a while.

My Apologies

And I'm apologizing for not posting or commenting around that often...the standardized tests are coming up for my school and I have tons of homework. Not to mention I'm participating in the April Camp NaNoWriMo session, and I'm behind the word count schedule to hit 50,000 words by midnight on April 30th.

So. Right now I'm reading Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, which normally I would have finishd by now, but I barely have time to write my NaNo novel...so reading is just kind of like, unavailable to me right now. Which is not good, if you look at the amount of books piled up on my nightstand and the book titles waiting impatiently on my to-read list.
Forgive the ugly background I have right now...that one with the windows that says "spring." I've been looking for something nice and spring-y to replace it. *leaves*
*comes back* Okay! I think this one looks a bit better! Excuse the Easter eggs...I just thought this looked better than my old one.

Anyway, I haven't posted writing in a while, and I was planning on putting something, but I don't actually have anything. Except my NaNo novel, which is desperately in need of a serious editing. Expect some writing later. (and by later I mean well after April 30th, when I hopefully will have succeeded in writing 50 k) So, since I have nothing to say, I going to wrap up this post by saying please don't get mad at me if I am sparse in the blogosphere, because I simply have too many other things to do. Sayonara!

Eating Chocolate Indefinitely?! o.O

I stumbled upon this online and I still cannot figure it out. If you can find the mistake, pleaseeee please please tell me what it is? I have gone cross-eyed staring at the computer screen.

How to eat chocolate indefinitely

The steps go in a backwards S, by the way. Not left to right. Geometrically I know this is not possible--there will be a little bit sticking out, but the right side will be a tiny tad shorter. That means that somewhere in this diagram, they have altered something to make it work just so. I cannot find the error, despite combing through this diagram for way too long and getting a headache. So I have resorted to the blogosphere in hopes of the answer.

In other news I just joined an awesome, book-based message board! Prisoner of Reality  My friend Fira Marine is also on that message board, so come join us! :)
