The Fun Questions Tag

-ignores that I've deserted blog for 2 months again-
...
well okay I guess I can't exactly just ignore that. I'm sorry. I'm a terrible blogger. I visit blogs very often, but I just never know what to post on my own blog.
But when I saw the fun questions tag on the fabulous Seana's blog, I thought it would be easy enough since it's like, a ready-made topic for me.

1) When is your birthday? (You don't have to include the year if you don't want to.)
June 11! :)

2) What are 3 of your favorite colors?
Black, turquoise, and gold.

3) What are your 3 favorites quotes?
This is super hard for me to decide so here are 3 quotes I really like but they might not be my favorites:
"I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once." --John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

"When your legs get tired, run with your hear." --Cassey Ho

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." --I have absolutely no clue. Oops.

4) Are you addicted to YouTube?
Psh... no.... *wipes liar's sweat off of palms*

5) What are 3 of your favorite shows on TV or YouTube or both?
Once Upon A Time, Make it or Break it, and America's Got Talent

6) What are 3 qualities you like in a best friend?
Kind, loyal, and likes to read (I'm sorry I just. Really have a hard time talking to people who don't read a lot because reading > life)

7) Do you like your name?
I'd like it better if my last name was a Shadowhunter name, but sure. Why not.

8) If you have the choice to pick your own name, what will it be?
I'm still trying to figure out what my Shadowhunter name will be so I'll get back to you on that.
But as for first names, maybe Hazel (from TFiOS and Heroes of Olympus hehe) or Isabelle (Lightwood) or something book-related, of course.

9) What is your fantasy dream?
To be a Shadowhunter. :)

10) Do you wear makeup?
Not normally, but I do for performances/competitions.

11) If you could write a book, what would the title be and what would it be about?
I'm writing several books, but I want to keep the ideas vague so they'll be a surprise if I get them published! Everything from magic to anorexia to gymnastics.

12) What makes you cry?
Books, specifically character deaths or something that a character says. (cough CLOCKWORK PRINCESS cough)
the occasional movie, but that's rare.

13) What makes you angry?
Any sort of racism, sexism, bigotry, or in general unfair bias. Also authors killing off the characters I love. Like. Seriously?!

14) What makes you happy?
Books, gymnastics, Jace, books,  rain, my friends, books, books, books...

15) What is "Fangirling?"
fangirling: noun
defintion one: Audrey's favorite pastime
definition two: when one (usually female) obsesses over something (anything. Music, a book, a movie, an actor...) by crying over it, laughing too much, screaming, buying an abundance of related merchandise, etc.

16) What are your 3 favorites snacks?
Ummm. Blueberries, Greek yogurt, and of course, chocolate.

17) What are your 3 favorite foods?
Sushi, Greek yogurt, and who could forget chocolate.

18) What are your 3 favorite drinks?
tap water (preferably cold), Chinese green tea, and guava juice

19) Can you tell us a little about yourself?
*stern English teacher face* of course I CAN tell you about me ;)
Here goes: I'm Audrey Jones, 15 years old, and a competitive gymnast (not the super serious kind who try for the Olympics or anything, just to be clear). I am extremely obsessed with reading fiction of many different genres. I also secretly aspire to be a Shadowhunter and my one true love will always remain Jace from The Mortal Instruments series. Sorry, nonexistent boyfriends. *shrugs*

20) What are 10 random facts about you?
- I love butter cookies even though they're super unhealthy.
- I can't sing. At. All.
- I have weirdly green eyes.
- My hair is really, really, really long. But I usually keep it braided or in a bun or something.
- I have a secret dream to become a famous YouTuber (part of the BookTube community to be specific).
- I am useless with computers.
- I have participated in every single NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo since 2009.
- That is not to say I've won all of those.
- I love cats.
- I don't actually have any cats.

21) What are your 3 fun things to do?
-read fiction
-do Pilates (it's just really fun okay)
-procrastinate on YouTube

Thank you all for reading! :D

  1. Yay! Welcome back! I've missed you :) To give yourself ideas on what to post, you could search the web for more tags, do book reviews, or even talk about gymnastics.

Oh my word, I love Youtube. Who do you watch? And OUAT <3 My obsession. What did you think of the final episode before winter break??

    1. Aw, thank you! :) I'll definitely try to post a lot more often. Those are great ideas, I'll keep them in mind~

High five for YouTube! I watch a lot of people from the "BookTube" community, specifically polandbananasBOOKS (Christine Riccio) and Ariel Bisset (or is it Bisett I keep forgetting). I also love the vlogbrothers and all of their related channels--SciShow, Crash Course, etc. Bebexo's hairstyles are also great :) How about you?

      >_> I can't even think about OUAT without breaking out into screams. They're making us wait until MARCH. Maaaarch... I don't even know what to say about the last episode. There were tears.

Do you watch Once Upon a Time in Wonderland?? The winter finale of that was also ASDDFKSAJGLA and yet another wait until March. Seriously. ARGH

    2. You're welcome! Once again, I'm just SOO glad you're back!

Hmm, I don't watch any of those Youtubers... Maybe I'll check them out if I can find time!

Oh my word, I was so mad when they said OUAT wasn't coming back until MARCH. I screamed and nearly threw the remote at the TV >:(

I don't watch OUATIW (wow that's long) because Thursdays (that's when it comes on right?) are horribly busy times for my family and I just never got around to watching it. The commercials I saw for it just didn't entice me enough!

    3. There are about 15 million Youtubers out there, so it makes sense that we wouldn't watch the same ones haha.

I know exactly what you mean! I was like... MARCH? March. That is so far away >_> I'm still waiting... *tries to not break anything*

Oh I see... in Wonderland is pretty good, but overall I think I like OUAT better :) more fairy tales all together is always better!

  2. Well hey, look who's back in the blogosphere! (: Glad you're back, Audrey!

Greek yogurt is my obsession. I'm completely in love with the blackberry variety. It's so....so...perfect. *sighs wistfully because she just ate the last blackberry Greek yogurt that was in the fridge and no longer has any more*

And oh, that quote from The Fault in Our Stars just got my fangirl feels raging. I'm really excited for the movie, but I'm just hoping so hard that they do a good job portraying the characters. Especially Augustus. *sniff* He was my favorite.

Oh, and if you're ever bored, The Creative Clique has a new blog button, so if you feel like swapping the old one for the new one on the side of your blog, feel free. (:

    1. Thank you, Seana! :) Might I just say I absolutely love your blog. it's fabulous.

Blackberry Greek yogurt oh my word it's just...I... I have the sudden need to run 2 miles in the dark to go buy some yogurt because argh I'm making myself hungry.

*sniffles* Augustus is my favorite too. Have you seen the trailer yet? If not, drop everything and go watch it on YouTube right. Now. I'm not totally pleased with everything but in general I know how hard it is for directors to live up to the image of readers so I'm trying not to judge harshly... after all the trailer is only a tiny part of it!

Oh, okay! I'll go take care of that right now :)

  3. Audrey! I'm so so sorry I didn't comment until now, but I'm so glad you're back! A few posting ideas: there are a bunch of weekly features like Top Ten Tuesdays, Teaser Tuesdays, Random Fridays, and a bunch of others I am forgetting right now. And stories. Please please post stories!
I literally (this is not, to be clear, a misuse of literally) cannot think about TFIOS without crying. Gus...Isaac's eye...Van Houten's daughter...Hazel's future self...Caroline Mathers...kids in Support Group...basically everyone I care about in that book...I read the whole book in one sitting, which, looking back on it, probably wasn't such a good idea because by the end of it I was emotionally overwhelmed and sobbing in my bedroom, which caused the rest of my family to think I was insane. (I mean, I am insane, but there was a reason for my insaneness at the particular moment.)
I have seen the trailer for the movie, and I don't like it, though I do agree that we as readers can't always expect the movie to live up to the images in our heads. I'm just worried that the movie will ruin some of my feelings for the book, but I guess we'll have to wait until June to find out.
