I'm late.
I know.
I keep missing these Tuesday things.
But lately I have been extremely busy with gymnastics--I'm flying to a competition in Kentucky next week! Also, Blogger is still being mean about my China pictures. But those posts are coming very soon, I promise!
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Okay, so I am currently reading Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
My teaser:
A few minutes later Pinocchio jumped out of bed quite well; for you must know that wooden marionettes have the privilege of being ill very seldom and of getting well very quickly.
Note: I will be reviewing Pinocchio soon! You have to read it. If you've only seen the cheerful singing wooden puppet it the Disney animation, you don't know Pinocchio at all. Disney completely changed his story. The original Pinocchio is so amazing, so thoughtful, almost sinister... I'll save it for the review, but trust me.
